STArLOG - Data standards for construction logistics
Uniform data standards within an industry are essential to ensure data flows between the players. There are currently no data standards in construction site logistics. This leads to conflicts in the coordination of transports and prevents analyses of the traffic and environmental impact of these transports.
The aim of the STArLOG project is to create a uniform data standard for controlling the supply and disposal transportation of construction projects. In the future, the logistics data should provide a basis for optimized, sustainable management of (sub)companies and suppliers on the construction site.
As part of the project, data structures of construction logistics portals are analysed with regard to data and information quality. Based on this, data requirements for the analysis, control and improvement of construction logistics processes will be determined. Data standards and recommendations for the data collection process will be developed in cooperation with four project partners and four associated partners. These data standards will be tested on construction projects and revised if necessary. Finally, the developed data standards will be presented to stakeholders in the construction industry. Together with the German Institute for Standardization, the data standards will be converted into a DIN SPEC.
The consortium is led by LuF GuT. Bausicht GmbH, Lean Construction Logistik GmbH, LEAN Projektmanagement GmbH and WSS-IT GmbH are the project partners. The cities of Dortmund and Wuppertal, SiteLog GmBH and Zeppelin Rental GmbH are participating in the project as associated partners.
