The project "Nationwide traffic interdependence 2015 in motorized private transport - analyses based on mobile radio and/or satellite-based data (FE 97.372/2016)" focuses on generating floating car data from navigation devices. This data is used to create interdependency matrices in motorized private transport for the year 2015. New methods are being developed to generate individual trips and recognize specific trip purposes, linking spatial structure and behavioral characteristics.

Research is also underway to devise methods for analyzing large volumes of data, along with independent testing and calibration procedures. The objective is to create interdependency matrices from empirical data to validate model results, among other purposes.
